My Take: I found this to be a fun and easy to get through how to book. I will be honest with you I probably have an entire book case of what my husband calls my "witch" books. They range from authors like Scott Cunningham to Raymond Buckland and even some Lauri Cabot. The trouble is most of them I wouldn't want to lend to a non pagan. Sometimes thing can come off confusing or well, odd, to those who are not in the "know".
This is actually a book I would be happy to lend to my work friends. It is written in a very down to earth kind of way. More like a friend is explaining something to you than you are reading an instructive book.
As a tiny tidbit mu husband is not a reader, at all. As soon as this book arrived in the mail he couldn't wait to get his hands on it. I'm not sure what it was but he actually read a few chapters. I was in shock. He even had me leave it out so if he had a free moment he could read some more! There could be no more shining endorsement than that :)

LOL!! That IS a shining endorsement!! I agree, though, it IS a lot like having a friend sit down with me and just explain things. It's a really great approach and a really great book!!! I'm glad you liked it too!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, uh, yeah. I have an entire bookcase two books deep in some spaces (where the books are smaller) filled with my witch books. But it's just me and my pet rock, and doesn't complain about them. LOL!
Thanks for stopping by! I'm at the point now that there may be more books than clothes in my bedroom. I'm thinking of turning our spare bedroom into a library room :)
ReplyDeleteWhen this review went up, we were prepping for Hurricane Sandy - sorry I didn't stop by sooner! I'm so glad you enjoyed the book!
